Event Rules

Effective immediately this will be the standard race procedures moving forward – rules subject to change as needed.

Parking:

  • Parking is reserved for event and class sponsors.
  • All other racers will be parked by class in the first available location.

Tech Inspection and Drivers Meeting:

  • Each racer will be asked to bring their vehicle, tech card, and race entry fee to the staging lanes for drivers' meeting and tech. Drivers will be able to return to the pits with their cars before Q1.
  • All entered vehicles will be required to have all the necessary equipment per class rules or will not be allowed to enter the race. *Refer to tech rules above for specifics.
  • All racers are required to have proper safety gear.
  • All vehicles are required to have permanent numbers, you must put your permanent number on your tech card for each event.

Qualifying and Racing:

  • We will run two rounds of qualifying; drivers are required to alternate lanes on each of their two qualifying runs.
  • After 2 rounds of qualifying, we will be using a standard NHRA Pro Ladder for eliminations.
  • During qualifying any vehicle that is pushed back BEFORE that vehicle lights the pre stage bulb, will be allowed to fix the issue and run at the end of the round. No extra time will be given, if that vehicle is not ready to come to the water box immediately following the last pair, that vehicle will not be allowed to make a run.
  • In the event of identical qualifying elapsed times, the vehicle with the faster top speed recorded on the qualifying runs in question will be awarded the lower qualifying position.
  • After the 2nd round of qualifying the qualifying order is final and the ladder will be set. If a racer is unable to make E1, their opponent will be run as a “broke-bye”.
  • Lane choice goes to the higher qualified car in round 1 and will be awarded to the quickest elapsed time of the previous round every round after.
  • Eliminations will be run in qualified order; #1 qualifier will be first pair out. It is the responsibility of the drivers to pair up at THE BACK of the lanes, and come to the front of the lanes with your pairing.
  • On a bye run a driver must break the beams under the vehicles own power.
  • The WhatsApp will call cars in GROUPS, DO NOT come to the lanes before you are called.

 Starting Line:

  • There will be a limit of 3 crew members per car on the starting line, drivers will be given 3 wristbands at the drivers meeting for their crew members.
  • Crew chiefs will be allowed to come look at the starting line prior to your pair but will be asked to clear the starting line in a reasonable time after inspecting the track.

Points:

  • Points will be awarded each race to the driver.

Outlaw Street Specific:

  • Outlaw Street will compete with a fixed 4.35 cap.
  • If a racer goes past the cap during qualifying, they will be placed on the bottom of the qualifying order. If a racer goes past the cap during both of their qualifying sessions, they will remain at the bottom of the qualifying order.
  • Any car that runs quicker than the cap during eliminations will be disqualified.
  • First or Worst rule: Red light loses to a competitor who runs quicker than the cap.
  • At 16 or more total entries, we will qualify a 16 car "A Field" and the remaining cars
will go into the "B Field".
  • After the 2nd round of qualifying the qualifying order is final and the ladder will be
set. If a racer is unable to make E1, their opponent will be run as a “broke-bye”.
  • At the end of qualifying if there are less than 8 cars in the B Field, we will allow a
first-round loser to enter the B Field on a first come first serve basis until we fill the
8-car field. (Ex: If there are 5 cars in the B Field, the first 3 cars who have lost in the A
Field to come and buy into the B Field will be allowed in and will be added to the end
of the ladder in order in which they buy back – buy back fee is $50)
  • The B Field will be run as a 3-round race, unless the total car count for the day
exceeds 24 cars. At that point the B Field would be "all run" up to a second 16 car
field max. Entries 17-32 would make up the B Field, qualifiers past the 32 positions
would only be allowed into the B Field if a driver is unable to make the call.
  • The 2 tenth rule will be in place for the B field. This will be off the #4 qualifier of the A
field; we will add 2 tenths to the #4 qualifier. (Ex: #4 qualifier of 4.400, would be a
4.600 breakout for the B Field)
  • Payout for Outlaw Street will be 80% of the total pot to A field, and the remaining
20% of the pot will be paid to the B field. (Closest to 80/20 split that allows the use
of whole numbers for the payout)
